 $160 for 55 minute session

Please be prepared to make the full payment on your first visit by cash, check, debit/credit card. I also accept HSA and FSA payments.

PAYMENTS & INSURANCE

Many people prefer to pay out of pocket for counseling services, as they prefer the privacy this allows regarding mental health diagnosis, course of treatment, etc. In this case, private payment of the full fee is required prior to each session.

Others prefer to use their health insurance coverage. I am an in-network provider for some insurance companies and an out-of-network provider for most companies. To help you determine which payment option is best, you may want to check your insurance benefit by calling the behavioral health or mental health number generally found on the back of the insurance card and asking:

• “What is my mental health coverage and benefit?”

• “Do I have a deductible to meet?”

• “What will my co-payment or co-insurance be?”

• “Will there be any limits on sessions?”

• “Do I need an authorization?”

Your insurance company may ask you some questions as well. Sometimes your deductible makes it difficult to use your insurance. If this is the case, we can discuss private payment in further detail.

I provide a billing service for insurance billing as a professional courtesy to my clients.  Payment for your portion of session fees including deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance are required before each session. You are responsible for all fees your insurance does not pay.

CANCELLATIONS

I maintain a full practice appointment schedule and generally have limited availability for appointments not scheduled a week in advance. If you are unable to keep your appointment, I ask that you let me know at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled time to best accommodate all of my clients. Failure to cancel will result in being charged the full fee for the missed appointment, which must be paid in full before your next appointment. Insurance will not cover the cost for missed appointments.
